Headaches/ Migraines
Headaches and Chiropractic Care
There are many variations that bring practice members into a chiropractic office. When experiencing a headache, it’s important to know the characteristics for each one.
migraine
cluster
muscular tension
cervicogenic
metabolic
The key differences are location of pain, the timing such as days/hours, signs, symptoms, and population.
For example, there are two types of migraines that trouble our practice members and those are categorized into common and classic. The classic migraines have a prodromal aura associated with them. That’s the lines, shapes, or flashes that people see before experiencing pain. Both of these involve a sharp or throbbing pain on one side of the head. Some people have noticed avoiding certain foods can mitigate their migraines. Getting rest, being in a dark room, and receiving chiropractic care is the best for helping resolve these issues!
