Anxiety/Depression and Chiropractic Care

Now a days we live in a world full of stress and sometimes uncertainty. This may cause people to feel anxiety and even sometimes be in a depressive state. When our bodies are faced with challenges we are not used to it activates your sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system. That part of your nervous system is trained to help us face whatever is in front of us. Even though it is an amazing part of your nervous system for certain situations, it is not designed to be turned on forever.

People who suffer from anxiety/depression are majority of times stuck in that sympathetic state and not transitioning into that parasympathetic (rest and digest) state. This may cause issues like high blood pressure, stress, intestinal dysfunction, lack of sleep, breathing issues, fatigue, and many others.

With chiropractic care we address the nervous system and make sure that connection between the brain and the nervous system is communicating as it should. We help to ensure that both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are working synchronously and in balance with one another.
